Say Goodbye to Home Clutter with My Favorite Local Donation Centers!

After you declutter your home, where do you take your donations? In our community, there are various donation places where you can make a difference. These locations accept clothing, household goods, and more to help those in need.

Goodwill is located at 7107 Owensmouth Ave, Canoga Park, CA 91303, and 23335 Mulholland Dr, Woodland Hills, CA 91364. Unfortunately, they no longer accept bedding or curtains.

So, my favorite local charity for home furnishings donations is Topanga Women’s Circle. TWC is an organization of volunteers who help the neediest of families by furnishing their new homes. Their donation bin location is Pine Tree Circle (across from Canyon Gourmet), Topanga, CA 90290. Opening hours are every Saturday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m., except for holidays and extremely hot or wet weather. I usually message them on Facebook to find out which Saturday they are open!

Animal shelters will take donations of towels and blankets.

My favorite animal charity place is Stray Cat Alliance. They have a unique thrift store at 3612 11th Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90018. I donate my clothes here.

I use Valley Recycling Center, 20220 Plummer Street, Chatsworth, CA 91311, for comprehensive magazine and paper recycling.

If you hire an expert organizer like me, taking things to donation centers is part of the benefits. We will take them and send you the donation receipt. When you are ready to tackle the clutter that adds up so easily with having busy lives, please reach out so we can discuss your home organization project.
